Taking steps to eat a healthy diet is a great way to move in the forward direction towards optimal health. Eating the right foods on a daily basis will provide your body with a wealth of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that all come into play to produce an optimally functioning system that keeps you strong, health, and disease-free.
But, there’s one part of the equation that too many people completely overlook. That part? Probiotics.
A Lesson On Bacteria
When most people think of bacteria, they tend to think of evil ‘bugs’ that cause health problems. Whether it’s the bacteria that gives you food poisoning or a bacteria infection that’s linked to disease states, we’ve grown up from a very young age believing that bacteria was bad.
While there are certainly many bad strains of bacteria out there in this world, there are also good strains of bacteria – so good in fact we need them to live. These good bacteria are housed inside your gut and make up a large portion of your immune system.
A little known fact that few people realize is that 70% of your immune system is found in the gut. Your immune system is like the master defense against disease.
Think of it like the gates that keep the ‘bad guys’ out and keep the good guys strong and well. When your immune system is down, it’s easy for those bad guys to enter – upon which they’ll begin wreaking havoc on your internal environment.
The more you can keep your immune system in top shape, the better you’ll be preventing and fighting against disease. Maintaining the right types of good bacteria in your body is the way to do that.
Let’s give you a primer on the three types of bacteria that are found in your body. With approximately 500 different strains, it’s important you know the distinction.
The first type of bacteria is the good guys – the probiotics. Probiotics are essential in order to help you live and will carry out many roles. They’ll help keep your immune system up to par, as just discussed.
They’ll also help with the breakdown and digestion of your food. Those who do not have sufficient levels of probiotics in their body often experience digestive issues such as gas, bloating, as well as constipation.

Having the right level of probiotics in your system may also help improve your skin health, reducing issues such as eczema and acne in some individuals, as was noted in a study published in the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology.
Likewise, these good probiotics may also help to keep your urinary system in top shape and for females, may also help improve vaginal health.
So as you can see, there are plenty of roles that probiotics take. Altogether, they make up around 10% of the total bacteria found in your system. They may not be numerous, but they are very powerful.
Next you have the bad bacteria. These also make up around 10% of the total bacteria living in your system and are the problem causers. They’re the ones that cause you to have a scratchy throat when you feel that cold coming on or cause you to feel sick to your stomach after eating that Chinese take-out that was sitting in the fridge for just a little too long.
Now, in order to manage these bad bacteria, we have created what’s referred to as antibiotics, which most people are well aware of.
We’ll be speaking about these more in a minute, but for now note that these antibiotics are designed to kill off those bad bacteria so they don’t do further damage.
It’s time to talk about the final type of bacteria that lives inside your body, the opportunists. These bacteria represent 80% of the total bacteria, so are quite numerous. These bacteria can sway to good bacteria or bad depending on the situation that presents itself.
For example, almost everyone will have a small amount of candida in their system already. For those who don’t know, candida is a type of fungal infection that’s caused by this type of yeast that typically lives in the skin and mucous membranes. You may have heard of it as a ‘yeast infection’ before, which essentially refers to the vaginal type of candida.
In addition to that, you can also get candida of the mouth or throat as well, or invasive candidiasis, which occurs when the candida bacteria enter the blood stream and spread throughout the entire body.
Now, don’t fear, the numbers you have right now are likely in control and aren’t impacting you in any significant way. But,
if your internal environment changes – say if you wipe out all those good bacteria that are keeping the bad bacteria in check, this could allow the 80% opportunistic bacteria to begin to grow.
Soon, the candida numbers in your body may start to rise and then you have a real problem on your hands. So while there may only be 10% bad bacteria in your system, there is the potential to be 90% bad bacteria if you aren’t careful with how you take care of yourself.
So there you have a brief run-down of the three different types of bacteria in your body. Now let’s talk more about those antibiotics.
The Problem With Antibiotics
You might currently believe that antibiotics are a very good thing. Your doctor prescribes them whenever you’re sick or have an infection and soon that issue is gone.
And it is true, antibiotics are very good at taking care of what they are designed to do – kill off those bad bacteria.
But the problem is that they are literally like placing a bomb inside your gut. They blow up everything. Bad bacteria and good bacteria. So therein lies the problem.
When you start to over-use antibiotics as many people do in today’s times where they are prescribed so frequently, you start experiencing dwindling number of those good bacteria.
So now, some people might be down to just 8% good bacteria or even lower than that.
What’s worse is that our bodies are starting to wise up. While initially the antibiotics that came out were very effective, that isn’t always the case now. Most medical doctors will tell you that what used to work 10, 20, 30, and 40 years ago won’t work any longer.
To put this into perspective, one doctor by the name of Dr. Horst Filtzer who performs vascular surgery for Harvard states that half the people who die from surgery aren’t dying because of that surgery. Rather, they’re dying because of a bacteria infection.
People will get these extremely harmful bad bacteria in their body at a time when their immune system is significantly compromised and because they don’t have enough good bacteria and the antibiotics aren’t working any longer, they can’t fight off this bad bacteria strain.
It’s an unfortunate situation because hospitals are full of bad bacteria despite the fact that’s where you go to get well. If you are not in a strong position entering the hospital, you may be facing serious problems by being there.
Of course this doesn’t mean you should avoid a hospital visit when you need to go, but it does mean you need to sit up and pay attention to the internal bacterial environment you have in your own system.
So right now, your primary focus needs to be on taking steps to improve your ‘terrain’ so to speak, referring to the type and number of bacteria you have residing in your system.
Steps To Improving Your Terrain
In order to take control and bring back the good bacteria, getting your numbers back up to that safety level of 10% while bringing bad bacteria numbers down, there are a few different steps you can take.
Probiotic Rich Foods
The very first thing you can do and the thing that most people find themselves doing in effort to recapture the good levels of bacteria they need is turning to probiotic rich foods.

In order to benefit from yogurt, you just must be sure that the type that you are purchasing states that it contains live bacteria cultures.[/caption]
For instance, yogurt, made from fermented milk, is very rich in a certain type of bacteria called lactobacillus.
This particular type of probiotic can help to manage irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease, as well as inflammation of the colon. It can also be used to help better manage lactose intolerance as well as help to lower high cholesterol levels.
In order to benefit from yogurt, you just must be sure that the type that you are purchasing states that it contains live bacteria cultures.
Kefir, a fermented milk drink, is another probiotic rich food that some people use to bring their numbers up. Research has demonstrated that kefir can help to provide antimicrobial, antitumor, anticarcinogenic as well as immunomodulatory activity while improving lactose intolerance in those who have issues.
While most people tend to think that yogurt is the best source of probiotics, kefir is actually a more concentrated source.
Another fermented food that will help bring your levels of good bacteria up is sauerkraut, which is fermented cabbage. As cabbage itself is already a very powerful cancer-fighting vegetable, fermenting it only adds to the benefits it brings.
Just do keep in mind that when purchasing sauerkraut, it needs to be the unpasteurized version in order for you to reap the benefits. Pasteurization will kill all the active good bacteria.
Kimchi, which you can often purchase in Asian supermarkets is another great source of probiotics. This again is made from cabbage, but this time has a number of other seasonings added to the mix including chili pepper flakes, garlic, ginger, and salt. Most people eat it as a side dish to their main meal and all you need is a little bit to provide powerful benefits.
Research published in the Journal of Medicine Food noted that kimchi can help to provide anticancer, antiobesity, and anticonstipation benefits, while also helping to promote a stronger colon, improving brain health, lowering cholesterol, and improving skin health. This is all on top of acting as a powerful probiotic for the body.
Miso is another Asian ingredient used to flavor foods or to prepare soup with. It’s a great source of a variety of nutrients including copper, manganese, vitamin K, zinc, phosphorus, choline, and vitamin B2. In addition to that, it’s also a strong source of the probiotic acidophilus, which can help to better manage irritable bowel syndrome, brain dysfunction, asthma, lactose intolerance, as well as help reduce the occurrence of diarrhea.
Those are a few of the most powerful food sources of probiotics. For those who prefer to go the nutritional route, making changes to their diet to improve their internal terrain, these foods can also help assist that.
The unfortunate part is that most people do not eat enough of these foods or eat them often enough to really optimize their gut environment.
Which now brings us to the next route you can take, probiotic supplements. There are a number of different probiotic supplements now on the market that are designed to help restore the natural good bacteria in the gut, improving your internal terrain.
These supplements typically contain a blend of the different strains of good bacteria and are simply taken daily to help you reach optimal numbers.
And while these can help, there are some big drawbacks.
Lack Of Numbers
First is the fact that these good bacteria will off die off in the product before you actually receive it. So despite the fact that the package might say that it contains a million strains for instance, by the time it gets to your door, this could be far from the case.
If many of these good bacteria die off before it gets to you, that product really isn’t going to be doing you much good.
Lack Of Effectiveness
The second issue with the average probiotic supplement is that it simply isn’t all that powerful. When consider how effective any given product is, you need to look at how quickly it doubles inside the body.
If the probiotic takes a long time to double inside the body, the numbers of good bacteria simply are not going to be populating all that quickly. As such, it can take a long time before you get to the level of healthy terrain you need to be – if
you ever get there.
So while you can use a general probiotic and you will likely reap some benefits, it’s not the top-of-the-line care that you could be giving your body.
Which now brings us to the last option and what is the most effective method to restore the natural health of your terrain, ensuring your immune system is strong and your gut full of those healthy, good bacteria. This method is super probiotics.
A super probiotic is a type of strain, often referred to as an implant strain, which will come in and colonize, rapidly producing high numbers of the healthy bacteria you need.
These strains are far more powerful than a regular probiotic so are designed to really help those who may be in poor condition starting off and who really need to bring their numbers up.
Basically, these are acting like little soldiers inside your body, going to war for you, fighting off the bad bacteria that are currently multiplying, overtaking them and growing the new healthy bacteria in their place.
The particular super probiotic that we’ve developed and patented, meaning you can’t find this anywhere else, is also one that’s proteolytic and will also help you digest proteins as well. This is something that your average probiotic product that you simply buy off the shelf of your local supplement store will not do.
The Doubling Factor
Our super probiotic, which we’ve called P3-OM is also designed to double every 20 minutes inside your system. So as you can imagine, the rate in which its colonizing your system is very rapid, so it doesn’t take long before you start to feel the beneficial effects of having this new healthy level of good bacteria in your body.
In fact, some people will find that if they are down with a sick stomach or other painful digestive problems and then take a dose of the P3-OM, they start feeling better within minutes.
That’s how quickly this powerful probiotic is.
Why Freeze Dried Is Best
Our super probiotic is also freeze dried, so you won’t have to worry about whether or not it’s been properly refrigerated until it gets to your door. When you purchase a probiotic supplement from the fridge at your local supplement store, you never really know if it’s been kept in proper cool conditions throughout the shipping process.
This can create another level of uncertainty about the effectiveness of your standard probiotic supplement.
With freeze dried however, you take the worry out of that.
Finally, we also have not added any preservatives or other chemical agents, so you can feel good about getting a natural product.
Whether or not you choose to eat probiotic rich foods, having these super probiotics in your system working hard for you is going to be the fastest way to heal your body, build up your terrain, and strengthen your immune system for an overall state of well-being.
Taking these on a regular basis is also a great way to ensure that you maintain
the healthy levels of probiotics in your gut, which is one of the best defenses against disease and illness.
Don’t ever underestimate the power that probiotics hold. If you are not tending to this element of your health, you’re missing out on the big picture. It’s great to eat healthy, but if you are not ensuring your digestive system and gut are functioning optimally, that healthy food can’t be put to good use.
You need to look at everything as a whole and make sure all parts of your system are in optimal working order.
